Jewell Woman Died At Old Peoples Home

Story City, May 14--Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Holversen*, 65, who died at the Old Peoples Home here at an early hour Tuesday, will be held Friday afternoon at the Jewell Lutheran church, with Rev. Carl Opsahl in charge. Interment will be in the Jewell cemetery.

Mrs. Halvor*, who formerly lived in Jewell, entered the home February 17, 1930. For the last six weeks she had been in failing health but her condition had not been regarded as hopeless until shortly before her death.

The deceased was born in Norway, July 24, 1864, and came to this at an early age. Her husband proceeded her in death last year. No children survive, but she had a sister living near Ellsworth.
