Pioneer Woman Buried at Ontario

Ames, Feb. 14--Funeral services for Mrs. Mary J. Scott, 73, pioneer of Washington township, were held at two o'clock today at a local funeral chapel, after which the body was taken to the Ontario cemetery for interment, by the side of the husband, who died about three years ago. She died from an attack of heart trouble Wednesday, at her apartment on Burnett avenue.

Mrs. Scott was the widow of the late George Scott who died in 1920. The Scotts were pioneers of the Ontario neighborhood and for many years operated a farm near there. Previous to Mr. Scott's death they moved to Ames.

One daughter, Mrs. George Truesdale of West Third street, Ames, survives. Other surviving relatives include: four brothers, Frank, A. L. and George Cameron all of Ames, and Will Cameron of Spirit Lake; two sisters Mrs. O. M. Briley of Ames, and Mrs. Graff Livingston of Boone; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
