PROMINENT SLATER FARMER IS DEAD

ARNE TWIT IS VICTIM OF PNEUMONIA AFTER WEEKS' ILLNESS

Special to the Journal.
Slater, Feb. 3--Arne B. Twit, 44, well-known farmer of Palestine township, died at his home near here at 3:00 Saturday afternoon from the effects of pneumonia, from which he had suffered for week.

Mr. Twit, one of the leading spirits of the neighborhood, was not only a successful farmer, but was a member of the schoolboard, a director of the Slater Farmers Creamery company, a director of the Palestine township farm bureau and held other positions of trust.

He leaves a wife and four children in his immediate family. The children are Gladys, Arlene, Everett and Herbert.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at Bethlehem church in Slater, after which the body will be interred in the Slater cemetery. The services will be in charge of his pator, Rev. E. M. Rorem.
