FORMER ROLAND WOMAN IS DEAD

MRS. DORA HENDERSON DIED AT THE HOME OF A DAUGHTER IN DES MOINES

Special to the Journal.
Roland, Feb. 3--Mrs. Dora Henderson, 67, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ray Johnson, in Des Moines, Saturday after an illness of two weeks. Death resulted from heart trouble and other complications.

Mrs. Henderson had lived in Roland for many years, but since the death of her husband about 4 years ago, she had lived with her son Charles at Austin, Minn. Recently she had been in Des Moines visiting with her other children and it was while there that she was taken ill and died.

Besides the son Charles in Minnesota, she leaves a daughter Mrs. S. O. Britson in Roland and two daughters Mrs. Ray Johnson and Miss Ada Henderson and five sons, Peter, Alvin, Lewis, Arthur and Nortman* in Des Moines.

There will be services at the home of her daughter in Des Moines, after which the body will be brought to Roland there will be services at Salem church, Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, after which interment will be in the Roland cemetery.*

The deceased was a native of Norway, but came to America with her parents when a child but a year old.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Nortman" is a typo. Her son was Norman Henderson. Dora Tjerandsdtr (Chelsvig) Henderson is buried in Mamrelund Cemetery in Hamilton County, Iowa.
