MRS. GUY WELTY IS DEAD HERE TODAY
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD WEDNESDAY AT PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
Mrs. D. Guy Welty, 49, died Monday evening about nine o'clock at the family home 785 Tenth street, from the effects of tuberculosis, from which she had bee a sufferer for many years. During the past few weeks she had been gradually failing and it was realized that the end was hastening nearer each succeeding day.
Funeral services for Mrs. Welty will be held Wednesday, afternoon at 2:30 at Central Presbyterian church conducted by Dr. R. M. Shipman of Boone, assisted by Dr. W. O. Benthin of Central Presbyterian church.
Interment will be in the Colo cemetery.
Mrs. Welty, whose maiden name was Mayme Ransom, had lived in Nevada for many years and raised her family of two daughters and one son.
She leaves in her immediate family her husband and three children. The children are Mrs. Helen Schlegel of Chicago, Mrs. Madge McClain of Nevada and the son Wayne Welty, a student at Iowa State college.
The Order of the Eastern Star, of which Mrs. Welty was a past Worthy Matron, will have a part in the services.
