During the FuneralOle Jondall, sick for many, months Avith a cancerous growth under his tongue, died at his home in the south part of town Tuesday morning.
The funeral service is being held at two o'clock this afternoon in the St. Petri church, of which he has so long been a mem'berl
Mr. Jondall was in the furniture business here for. nearly forty years. He was nearly 78 years old at the time of his death, having been born in Norway Oct. 23, 1851. He came to America in 1882, and soon thereafter joined his brother John in the furniture business in Story City.

Actively in Business in Story City for Thirty-Five Years
Ole Jondall was born Oct. 23, 1851, at Jondall, Norway, and passed away at his home in Story City Aug. 20, 1929, having nearly reached his 78th year.
He came to America in 1882 and settled in Story City. In 1883 he was married to Elsie Olson, who came that year from Rorvig, Sondhordland, Norway. They were married in the St. Petri church in Story City, of which he has since been a member.
To this union seven children were born. One son, Lewis, has preceded him in death at the age of 38. The children to mourn his death, besides his wife, are Mrs. Thea Barnes, Selius Jondall, Henry Jondall, Mrs. Ole O. Jacobson, Mrs. Clarence Jacobson and Marie Jondall; also 8 grandchildren; one brother,Lars, and numberous other relative and friends.
Mr. Jondall was in the furniture business at this place for about 35 years, having retired from this business a few years ago.
The last year of his life he suffered with a cancerous growth under his tongue, and was a patient sufferer until the end.
Funeral services were held last Thursday, Aug. 22, at the St. Petri church, conducted by Rev. W. B. Scarvie, who spoke in both Norwegian and English. The pallbearers were H. T. Hauge, John Heggen, Edw. Charlson, J. C. Jessen, Alex Henderson and A. M. Henderson. Interment was made in the Fairfield cemetery.

We wish to thank all friends and neighbors and relatives for sympathy shown us during the sickness, death and burial of our beloved father, for the many visits spent in prayer and song; for the many beautiful floral offerings, and Miss Hannah Dale, organist at the funeral. Also we wish to thank the neighbors and friends and the members of the South Ladies Aid of St. Petri church for the money that was sent to the mission in memory of our beloved Christian husband and father. Mrs. Ole Jondall and children.
