Amy Sampson

Services for Amy Sampson, 86, lifetime Roland resident, were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov, 3 at Salem Lutheran Church, Roland. The Rev. Everett Nelson was in charge. Mrs. Loren Tjernagel sang, "How Great Thou Art" and "If I Gained the World, but Lost My Savior" accompanied by Mrs. La Verne Severseike at the organ. Casket bearers were Ronald Jondall, Arlo Strum, Gene Jondall, David Rink, Darrel Larson, and James Larson. Burial was in the Roland Cemetery. Mrs. Sampson died Sunday, Oct. 31 at the home of her daughter, Beverly Reinertson, Cedar Rapids.

Amy Jondall was born Nov. 23, 1895, near Roland to Samuel and Bertha Jondall. On Dec. 27, 1917 she was married to Ivan J. Sampson.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Reinertson, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who died Jan. 7, 1957; one son, one daughter, one great grandchild and six brothers.
