Randy Wayne Arnold, 62, of Story City passed away on September 22, 2017 at the Zearing Healthcare Center in Zearing, Iowa. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg, Iowa. A prayer service will begin following the visitation at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Kathy Sandmann officiating.
Randy was born on March 4, 1955 on a Navy Base in Corona, California to Don and Betty Mae (Settle) Arnold. The family relocated to McCallsburg, Iowa and Randy graduated from NESCO with the class of 1973. Following graduation he began working for the Heart of Iowa Co-Op as a grain operator. On April 28, 1984 he married Terri Ackerman at the Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg, Iowa. The couple lived outside of Story City where they raised their family.
He had a love for his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Randy also enjoyed golf and was a member of the Riverbend Golf Course in Story City, Iowa. His other hobbies included fishing, camping, playing cards, cribbage, playing spoons, and tinkering on mowers.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 33 years, Terri; children Nikki (Chad) Crabtree of Nashua, IA, Dustin Arnold of Sedona, AZ, Casie (Josh) Paul of Story City, IA, and Tasha (Max) Hannusch of Story City, IA; grandchildren Megan, Miranda, and Garren Crabtree, and Jaxson and Stasia Paul; sister Robin (Bob) Thomas of McCallsburg, IA; aunts Connie Harding, and Ruberta Hughes; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Ronnie Arnold.
Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing has been entrusted with the care of Randy and his family.
