ZEARING

The adopted son of Mr. and Mrs. John Womack died early last Sunday morning from the effects of lock-jaw which resulted from stepping on a rusty nail about ten days ago. The funeral was held Monday at Johnson Grove Church after which interment was made in the cemetery at Nevada. The family have the sympathy of the entire community.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Unable to find a death record for this boy, I am making a calculated guess that the "adopted son" could be Eli/Elis Grimes, listed in the 1910 Lincoln Twp., Story County, Iowa census as a lodger age 16.
