Death at Maxwell.

G. W. Maxwell, an esteemed citizen of Maxwell, died his home in that city December 17, after a somewhat protracted illness. His age was 78. he was a Virginian by birth and a resident of Story county since 1855. His wife and eight sons and daughters survive him. he was well known in the county. In the early 80's he carried the mail between Nevada and Maxwell and pleasant memories linger in the Representative office of calls from genial "Uncle Wash" when he was waiting at this end of the route.
