ROSS WAKEMAN DEAD.

Veteran Passes Sunday Night

Ross Wakeman, long a resident of this city, died at his home here late Sunday evening, aged about seventy years. He had been ailing for some time; but his condition was not generally known to be critical and his death was a surprise to his many friends. Mr. Wakeman was a good soldier in his time and and a good workman at wagon making and similar occupations always. Cordial in his manner he has very many friends and his death is much regretted. He leaves a wife but no children. His funeral is conducted from the house this afternoon by Rev. Hardaway.
