Dorothy Elma Thornton youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Thornton was born October 31st 1910 and died Oct. 14th 1912 aged nearly two years. Her death was due to falling from a table less than a week ago while her mother was out of the room. She climbed onto the table and the mother hearing her fall came at once, but the child was on her feet and her face was bruised. She soon showed signs of injured spine and continued growing worse until her death Monday evening. Little Dorothy was the pet of the household, being the youngest of a family of eleven in which death had not entered before. She was a dear little girl and all who knew her loved her. Her sorrowing relatives have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community. Funeral services were held in the U. E. church Rev. Zike, pastor at Dalton church officiating. Interment was made in the Colo cemetery.
