Obituary.
Mrs. H. F. Holle, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Clark of Thompson died at her home near Forest City on Wednesday morning, September 4, 1912, after a lingering illness of several months.
Maggie Lucinda Clark was born at Baxter, Iowa December 1, 1887. When four years of age she moved with her parents to Crystal Lake and later to Thompson. There she attended high school and graduated in 1905. She then taught school in Winnebago and Story counties for several years. On March 10, 1909 she was united in marriage to H. F. Holle of Zearing. After a residence of two years here they moved to Forest City in March 1911.
To mourn her departure she leaves her husband, three sisters and one brother, all of whom were present at her death except Mrs. C. F. Hardin of Portland, Ore. and Bessie E. Clark of Chicago, the latter arriving a few hours after he death. The parents and one sister of Mr. Holle were also present.
Short services were held at the home near Forest City and also in the United Lutheran church at Thompson. Rev. Clarke of the Congregational church of Forest City was in charge. The remains were laid to rest in Rosehill cemetery.
Those from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Holle Sr. and daughter Miss Lydia, Mr. and Mrs. Will Schultze all of Zearing. The many friends of the deceased extend the sincerest sympathy of the sorrowing ones.
