ELECTRICIAN KILLED AT AMES.
Bert Ball Encounters High Current.
Bert Ball, an experienced employee of the Ames electric force, was killed on a pole south of the campus Wednesday forenoon as the result of leaning back against a wire that was carrying a current of high voltage. A fellow workman was on the pole with him and lowered him to the ground by the strap by which he had been held. He spoke at first but soon became unconscious and died in spite of all efforts to revive him.
The deceased was a young man of excellent standing and his death evidently occasions a shock where he was best know. He leaves a wife and one child, the former formerly Velma Burdick of Nevada. His funeral will be conducted Saturday forenoon at Ames.
