FORMER NEVADA WOMAN BURIED HERE

BODY OF MRS. BUNCE INTERRED HERE THIS AFTERNOON.

The body of Mrs. D. J. Bunce was brought here this afternoon from Des Moines and interred in the family lot in the Nevada cemetery. Few friends of the family know of the death which occurred at Des Moines Wednesday and there was but a small party gathered at the grave to pay their tribute of respect to one whom they have known and admired during the many long years of her life among them.

Mr. Marinda Griffith Bunce, wife of Rev. D. J. Bunce, passed to her reward at 5:17 p. m. Wednesday, May 9, at her home 1511 Thirtieth street, Des Moines, Ia., after illness of over thirteen weeks.

Mrs. Bunce was born near Danville City, Steuben county, N. Y. May 8, 1837 and came with her parents to Whiteside county, Ill., in 1854. She was united in marriage to Rev. D. J. Bunce Oct. 10, 1856 to which union were born four children, three of whom have preceded her, and Mrs. Lucretia Adel Day, who makes her home with her parents.

Mrs. Bunce was converted in 1877 and united with the Methodist Episcopal church at Nevada, Story county, Iowa and remained a faithful until --- to united with the church triumphant.

The funeral services were held from the Dunn funeral parlors at 10:00 today, Revs. Whiteside and Cannon officiating. The interment took place in Nevada cemetery. There was a short service at the grave.
