Frances Lorene Childers was born on May 7, 1925 in Roland to Milford J. and Emma (Handeland) Britson. She married Delbert “Bud” Childers on December 23, 1951. He died January 15, 2003. Frances lived her whole life in Roland and was a member of Bergen Lutheran Church. She enjoyed golfing, playing the piano, canning, cooking, making grape jelly and going to the Dayton Rodeo every year; but she really loved attend all of her grandchildren’s activities through the years.

Frances passed away June 11, 2017 at the Rolling Green Village in Nevada at the age of 92.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Gary) Sprouse of Nevada and Kimberly (Bruce) Hetland of Story City; a son, Douglas (Debra) Childers of Nevada; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Shaun, Ryan, Jamie, Justin, Matthew and Shelby; four great grandchildren, Chloe, Lily, Carter and Kyler; a sister, Eleanor (Dale) Tilley of Pine Top, AZ and a sister-in-law, Darlene Britson of Racine, WI.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bud; a still born daughter, Marla Kay and two brothers, Duane and Herbert.
