LAVONA C. LEGVOLD

The Register's Iowa News Service AMES, IA. - Lavona C. Legvold, 73. of Ames died of cancer Monday at home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Iowa State University Cemetery. Mrs. Legvold was born in Huxley and had lived in Ames since 1941. She was a homemaker and had been a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Mary Greeley Auxiliary and Iowa State University Faculty Women's Club. Survivors include three daughters, Ann Watts of Ames, Cathy Talcott of Des Moines and Lenesa Leana of New York, N.Y.; three brothers, LeRoy Anderson of Huxley, Willard Anderson of Ankeny and Palmer Anderson of Story City; a sister, Clara Rullestad of Ames; and eight grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sam Legvold Memorial Fund at ISU or to her church. Adams Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
