DEATH OF ALMA PETERSON

Was Fifth Child of Mr. and Mrs. Peterson.

Miss Anna Leona Peterson, [fifth] child of Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Pet[erson] of this city died Sunday after[noon] December 8 at 4:00 o'clock and [will] be interred in the Nevada cem[etery] Tuesday forenoon at 10:30 -- after[----] services at the grave which w[ill be] conducted by Rev. [Fred] Ross Shirck of Memorial Luth[eran] church.

Alma Leona Peterson was bo[rn in] this city January 8, 1901 and di[ed] December 8, 1918 age 17 years an[d 11] months. She had always lived i[n Ne]vada and attended the Nevada sch[ools.] She was a member of Memorial [Luth]eran church where she was a [regu]lar attendant at both church and [Sun]day school.

She has been ill about 11 days, [and] had been staying at the home o[f Mr.] and Mrs. F. J. Neasham on Pine [----] and had assisted in the care of [mem]bers of the family while they [had] been ill with influenza and it wa[sn't] until after the had practically [re]covered that she broke down he[re.] She was kept in that home and [was] given all of the care that was po[ssible] and everything done to bring he[r out] of the grip of pneumonia but w[ith no] avail.

Alma was the fith of the ten [child]ren of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Pet[erson] and the second one to die. A [----] son, Glen, died a year or so ago [----] being the first death to break the [fam]ily circle. The surviving membe[rs of] the family besides the parents [are] Mrs. Mary Hellin of St. Anthony, [Mrs.] Bessie Casad of Gilbert, John [Pet]erson now in the army and stat[ioned] at Camp Pike, Ethel Marie, Rose [E.] and Alfred all at home.

The members of the family r[e]ceive the most profound sympat[hy of] a wide circle of neighbors and fr[iends] in their hour of sad bereavement.
