HIGH SCHOOL GIRL DEAD

Miss Ruth Fawcett Passed Away On Thursday

Miss Ruth Fawcett, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Fawcett, died Thursday evening at 6:00 at the home of her parents on Pine street and the funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon with interment in the Nevada cemetery.

Ruth was taken ill a week ago last Wednesday, November 27 and had been gradually failing since. She was first taken down with influenza and it later developed into pneumonia.

She was born December 15, 1905 and died December 5, 1918, age 12 years 11 months and 5 days. She was born in Nevada in what is known as the Stone property at the south end of Lynn street. She had attended the Nevada schools and was a member of the Junior High when she was taken down. She leaves besides her parents, her sisters Naoma age 17, and Josephine age 9, and her brother, Edgar age 6 years. She was converted in the Lowrey meetings here a few years ago and was a member of the Methodist church and Sunday school and was an active worker in all of the junior societies and activities of the church.

Ruth was always busy about the home looking after the wants and the needs of the other members and this trait showed even after she was taken ill with the other members of the family, when she insisted in ministering to their wants and needs when she was not able to hardly look after herself.

In the death of Ruth the family lose a rare flower and they will receive the deep sympathy of a wide circle of friends and neighbors in their hours of bereavement.
