Mrs. T. M. Janson died Sunday morning the 15th and was buried from Betania church the 17th at 2 o'clock. Rev. Carl Montannia spoke in English at the home, and Rev. Sandven in Norwegian at the church for a very big congregation. Mrs. Janson was born in Norway the 15th of May 1862 and was married to T. M. Janson the 5th of May 1887 at Marshalltown. To this union three children were born of whom one son, Joseph, survives her. The community extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family. She was truly kind wife and good mother.
SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Death records give the name of the deceased as Martha Johnson born 1862 and died 15 September 1907 in McCallsburg, Story County, Iowa.
According to marriage records, Thomas M. Johnson married Martha Call on 15 May 1890 in Marshall County, Iowa. He is listed as the son of Peter Johnson and Mary Mathson and she is listed as the daughter of John Call and Unknown Simmons.
