Mrs. Marion Smith, formerly of Milford township, died this morning at her parents home in Ames. Mr. and Mrs. Smith lived in Milford township for something like twenty-five years, and they have friends all over this part of the county. The regret at her death will be very great.

Mrs. Marion Smith died at their home in Ames Wednesday morning at eight o'clock. She had been sick for about three weeks. The funeral was held from the home, conducted by her pastor, Rev. Shea. The body was taken to Nevada for burial. Mrs. Smith was born in Xenia, Ohio February 4, 1852 and Mr. Smith and herself were among the early settlers of this part of Story county. She leaves a husband, three sons, and many friends to mourn her loss.

The funeral of Mrs. Marion Smith was held at Ames Thursday, and the interment was in the Nevada cemetery. Numerous friends from Nevada and vicinity attended the funeral.
