OBITUARY

Death of Mrs. W. H. Ayers

Mrs. W. H. Ayers, of Nevada township died at the family home early this morning; having been stricken only last evening with apoplexy. She has recently been suffering from a broken arm, acquired while at Des Moines for the state fair; but we do not understand that the broken arm had anything to do with the illness that caused her death. Mrs. Ayers was fifty-four years of age, and was in every way a most estimable woman and mother of a family. Her death is a shock in a wide circle of friends.

Mrs. Wm. Ayers who lived north of town died suddenly Sunday evening. The funeral was held at this place Wednesday afternoon, after which the remains were laid to rest in Woodland cemetery.
