Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Elizabeth M. Maland was born February 16, 1913 to Martin and Mary (Severeid) Maland in Huxley, Iowa. Elizabeth graduated from Huxley High School in 1930 and worked as a bookkeeper, and as a nanny for the Hiriam Munn family. She was a member of Palestine Lutheran Church where she enjoyed church activities and quilting. Elizabeth also took much pleasure in entertaining family and friends in her home.

Elizabeth passed away at 104 years of age on April 17, 2017 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

Elizabeth is survived by numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Javerna Maland.

Memorials may be designated to Palestine Lutheran Church or the Huxley Historical Society (The Maland Home).

Soderstrum Funeral Home in Slater is assisting the family with arrangements.
