From Nevada Representative May 15, 1907

H. B. Craddick* had reported from Los Angeles the death of his father, W. W. Craddic, which event occurred there on Monday afternoon. Mr. Craddick senior was a soldier in the civil war and was for many years prominent in Marion county politics. He was at the time clerk of the county and at another time postmaster of Knoxville. He had been an occasional visitor in Nevada since the residence of his son here, and for the past few years he had been in California. Advices are that the will be buried there temporarily. Mr. Craddick junior will start home early next week, but it is no yet definitely known whether Mrs. Craddick and the children will accompany him or remain there for a few weeks more. The trip which Mr. Craddick junior and his family undertook to California has not been of the sort they were hoping for at either end. They went out partly on account of the senior's health but not anticipating that his death was so imminent, and before they got there the fire that burned out the bank of which he was cashier almost demanded that he turn about and return immediately.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "H. B. Craddick" was Harry Bert Craddick, son of William Woods Craddick and Susan Booton. H. Bert Craddick was married to Blanche Loomis.
