County Correspondence

CAMBRIDGE

Passed away at her home in Highland Park Des Moines, Iowa, Monday night, January 21, 1907, Mrs. Martha Wilson. The remains arrived in Cambridge Wednesday morning on the nine o'clock train and were taken immediately to the U. B. church where funeral services were conducted by Rev. R. E. Graves of Toledo, a former pastor assisted by Rev. H. G. Hicks. The deceased was among the old residents of Cambridge and one who was beloved by all who knew her. Early in life she was converted and when the U. B. church was organized at this place she was one of the charter members remaining faithful until death. She was a member of the Ladies' Aid society and in every department of church work she was a devoted and earnest worker. Although she had been a constant sufferer for some months past yet, amid it all she was never heard to murmur or complain. Her life work is finished, her journey is o'er. Those who knew her will ever remember her good deeds. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. All of the children who are living were present at the funeral. A host of friends extend sympathy to the bereaved ones in this hour of sore bereavement in the loss of their mother.

Asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep,
From which none ever wake to weep,
A calm and undisturbed repose
Unbroken by the last of foes.
