Mrs. Bertha A. Lura Dies.
Mrs. Bertha A. Lura died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. Malmin, at McCallburg, Sunday the 16th, after a sickness that had lasted about eight weeks. Mrs. Lura was born near Stavanger, Norwy, in 1823; she was united in marriage to Hover Lura in 1846, and bore him nine children, of which five are now living. Mr. Lura died in the old country in 1869; Mrs. Lura came to Amerida in 1881 and has made her home with her children all of whom live around here. Her children are Hover Lura, west of Roland, A. H. Lura, east of Roland, Mrs. John Evenson at Roland, Mrs. M. Malmin at McCallsburg and Miss Bertha Lura who had lived in Minneapolis of late. They were all present at her death. She will be buried Wednesday of this week in the Roland cemetery. She leaves besides her children 29 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Mrs. Lura was a devoted Christian, and very glad to go to the Saviour whom she loved. The whole community sympathize with the big family of which she was the kind and beloved ancestor.
