CAMBRIDGE

The funeral services of Mrs. Angeline Maxwell were held n the U. B. church last Friday afternoon conducted by Rev. H. G. Hicks. The remains arrived Friday morning from Aurora, South Dakota, accompanied by her two sons Logan and Cole and were taken to the home of Mrs. C. Clawson where they lay until time for the services. The deceased was one of the early settlers of Cambridge, a woman that was loved and respected by all who knew her, and always pleasant and as one remarked on the day of her funeral, it made no difference how many might come into her home, she would always be heard to say there is always room for one more. Thus one by one the early settlers are fast passing away to that bourne from whence no traveler ever returns. Though she is dead yet she still lives in the memory of those who came in contact with the influences put in motion by her life,. She became a member of the local U. B. church in 1896 and lived a consistent, devoted Christian life from that time down to the close of earth's pilgrimage. Those present at the funeral were Cole and Logan of South Dakota, Harry, George and Ole all of Colorado, J. W. Maxwell of Maxwell, a sister of the deceased and other relatives besides a large circle of friends who sympathize with the sorrowing ones in this dark hour. Surely it can be said of her Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord, they do rest from their labor and their works do follow them. "Asleep in Jesus blessed sleep from which none ever wake to weep."
