OBITUARY

Death of Mrs. Otteson

Mrs. Anna Otteson died Friday at the home in this city of her daughter, Mrs. N. H. Larson, and was buried Sunday afternoon from the Adventist church. Her age was 86 years, 2 months and 25 days.

Anna Larson was born in Denmark, May 30, 1820. She grew up there and was married there to Knute Otteson, and their family came to consist of five children, two sons and three daughters, all of whom are now living and residents of of this country. Mr. and Mrs. Otteson emigrated to the United States in the summer of 1882, coming first to Boone county.

Mr. Otteson, however, died in the following winter, and the widow came and made her home with her daughter in Nevada, where she continued to reside until her death. Mrs. Otteson was most estimable old lady, and her funeral was attended by a large retinue of most sincere mourners. The funeral which, as stated, was at the Adventist church, was conducted by Rev. W. J. Johnson of Sioux Rapids, but who came here from Boone, where he was holding meetings.
