Arrangements for the funeral of the late Emma McGloflin have not yet been made definitely; but it is expected that the body will arrive tonight from California, and it is probable that the funeral will be held on Sunday.

Funeral of Emma McGloflin

The funeral of the late Emma McGloflin was conducted Sunday afternoon from the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and rs. J. F. Gillespie. Rev. R E. Shaw officiating and being assisted by Rev. W. P. Payne. There was a considerable company of old and true friends to pay the last rites to the deceased, and she was laid to rest in the McGloflin lot in the Nevada cemetery. Miss McGloflin was born at Galipolis, Ohio, January 1, 1856, and died at Los Angeles, California, May 30, 1909, aged 53 years, 4 months and 29 days. Those of her immediate family who were present at the funeral were her mother, Mrs. Catherine McGloflin; her sister, Mrs. J. F. Gillespie of Nevada and Mrs. R. B. Harper of Onawa; her nephew, J. L. Gillespie of Des Moines, and her niece, Miss Winifred Harper of Onawa. Of her other sisters, Mrs. Williams and Miss Margaret McGloflin of Los Angeles were with her at the time of her death but were not able to come here for the funeral and her sister, Miss Frances McGloflin, now at Rochester, Minnesota, though improving from her recent operation, was unable to come.

Mrs. McGlofln and Mrs. Gillespie and the other relatives join in expressing to friends and neighbors their grateful appreciation of acts and words of kindness during the time of their bereavement.
