Death of Mrs. Hughes

Grandma Hughes, an old time resident of Milford township, died Monday night at the home of her youngest daughter, Mrs. Mary Brown, with whom she had lived for the past fourteen years. Four years ago she had a stroke of paralysis, and she has never been strong since but had been able to wait on herself until two weeks ago, since which time she failed quite fast. Her death was due mostly to old age. She passed her ninetieth birthday last December. The funeral was held Thursday at 10 a. m. at the M. E. church and her remains were laid to rest beside those of her husband, in Pleasant Grove cemetery. She was the mother of nine children seven of whom are living.
