OBITUARY

DEATH OF MRS. COYLE.

Mrs. Margaret Coyle, wife of Thomas Coyle, died at the family home in this city at six o'lock this morning of cancerous tumor. She underwent an operation for this trouble a month ago in Chicago; but while the operation made plain her condition it did not stop the progress of her disease, and the best that it has been possible to do for her in the two weeks that she remained in Chicago and in the further two weeks and little more since she was brought home, has been to make her as comfortable as possible. Her death, therefore, comes as the conclusion of a painful and hopeless illness and has the merciful quality that is inevitable in such a situation.

Margaret Mulcahy was a native of Ardagh in county Limerick, Ireland, where she was born February 6, 1842. She came with her parents and other children to this country in April, 1861, the family locating in Chicago. She was married there on February 18, 1864, in St. Patrick's church of that city, to Thomas Coyle, and they immediately began faring south of the city of Freeport. In June, 1868, they came to Story county, locating on their farm in New Albany township, a little south of Colo, where they continued to live until two years ago, when they became residents of Nevada. Mrs. Coyle died as stated on January 15, 1909, aged 66 years, 11 months and 9 days.

Mrs. Coyle leaves her husband, her brothers, Patrick, John and David Mulcahy, and her sister, Mrs. John Croker, all of whom live in or near Colo, also numerous other relatives and friends. Mrs. Coyle is spoken of by those who knew her best with much admiration. She was a woman of much force and great worth, who filled well her place in the world.

The funeral will be conducted from St. Patrick's church Monday forenoon at ten o'clock by Father Nichols.
