Death of Lars Christensen.
Lars Christensen, a former resident of Nevada and a clerk in earlier years in the store of the late I. A. Ringheim, died on Saturday last at his home in Grand View, Washington, and his body is being brought to Nevada for burial. Probably it will arrive tonight and it is likely that the funeral will be held here tomorrow in charge of the Masons; but definite arrangements are not yet made. Mr. Christensen was a native of Norway and at the time of his residence here still talked broken English. He left Nevada as far back as the middle 70's and resided for a few years in the Dakotas, going later to the state of Washington. People who knew him here speak very highly of him, and it is understood that he is brought back here because a little son of his is buried here. He is understood to have been not less than sixty years of age at the time of death and leaves his wife, two daughters and a son, all of the children being grown. Mrs. Sexe of this city is a sister of his wife, and John Danielson of Milford is a brother-in-law.

The funeral of the late Lars Christensen is held this afternoon at the Presbyterian church, the services being conducted by the pastor, Rev. Hunter. The funeral is in charge of the Masons, who will pronounce the last rites at the grave. The body arrived last evening in charge of Mrs. Christensen and her son, Francis, and they will remain in this vicinity for a few weeks before returning to their home at Grand View, Washington. It is also understood that the family contemplate permanent return to Iowa in the course of a few months, which purpose explains in part their bringing here the body of the husband and father for burial. Another reason is that they have here a lot in which is buried another son, a little boy who died here years ago.
