OBITUARY

DEATH OF IRA MULLEN

Ira A. Mullen, formerly of Nevada, died late Thursday evening at the home in Zearing of his father, Rev. G. W. Mullen, after a protracted illness resulting from various tubercular troubles. Ira Mullen graduated from the Nevada High school with the class of 1903, and at the time of his death he must have been about twenty-three years of age. He was regarded as a young man of very exceptional promise, and the only occasion that ever appeared for disappointment of this promise was the gradual and very serious decline in his health. As to this decline he was brave and his friends were also; but the gains he made proved to be only temporary, and he finally yielded to the inevitable.

The funeral will be held Monday morning at nine o'clock in the United Evangelical church at Zearing, and thence the body will be taken to the Summit chapel in Nevada township, where brief services will be held, at about two o'clock in the afternoon. The interment will follow in cemetery near by.
