"Uncle Andy" Ostling.

Andrew Ostling died Wednesday, March 25, after an illness of several months, at his home in Slater, aged sixty-one, and his funeral is held in Slater today, and burial is reside the remains of his wife who passed away two years ago.

Mr. Ostling was born and grew up in Sweden; came to central Iowa at the age of twenty; married; and settled down in Boonesboro; removed to Sheldahl, and later to Slater when Slater was established. He was the pioneer harness maker, and always a respected citizen. Two sons and two daughters survive him. They are Ivan and John and Mrs. T. C. Peterman and Mrs. Lew Mason.
