Fred Wirth, aged 66 years died at the home of Walter Baldus* near Watkin's Well Thursday, of apoplexy. His home was in Chicago, where he has four sons and considerable celebrity as a crayon artist. He came to Story county in seeming good health, to visit a few days with friends. John, Peter and Fred Wirth, of Gilbert, are nephews whom he had frequently visited. His remains were shipped to Chicago Friday, and a memorial service was conducted for him Saturday at Gilbert by Father Renier of Ames.
