OBITUARY

DEATH OF FRANCES McGLOFLIN

Miss Frances McGloflin died shortly before eleven o'clock this forenoon at the home in this city of her sister, Mrs. J. P. Gillespie, after a protracted illness with cancer of the breast. Miss McGloflin came here from Oklahoma in April of last year, her trouble then in its earlier stages and she went from here to Rochester, Minnesota, for an operation, which was only partially successful. Returning from there in the summer her condition has grown steadily worse for the past year, and for weeks and months she has been simply dying by inches. All this time her suffering has been very great, and if ever death came as a mercy to anyone it has so come to her. Under such conditions it is a matter of gratefulness to all her friends that she has at last found the only peace there was in store for her; but Miss McGloflin was a woman of ability, energy and worth, and under any ordinary conditions her death in the midst of her active years would have been most profoundly regretted. Her funeral will be conducted from the Gillespie home Thursday afternoon at half-past two o'clock. More extended obituary notice will be given later.
