Marilyn Kaye Badger, 78, of Ames, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames surrounded by family.

Marilyn was born October 26, 1938, in New Sharon, Iowa to LaVern and Maxine (Calhoun) Ladely. She was united in marriage to William R. Badger in Grinnell on August 19, 1955. Marilyn attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Ames and enjoyed decorating. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Marilyn is survived by her children: Pamela Hansen of Ankeny, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Badger of Nevada, William (Lynn) Badger of Nevada, Micheal (Linda) Badger of Ames and Patrick (Amy) Badger of Itasca, IL; her grandchildren: Cristopher (Sarah) Hansen, Amy Badger, William Badger, Grace Badger, Joshua Badger, Caleb Badger, Joseph Badger, Jacob Badger, Mark Badger and Luke Badger and her sisters: Dorothy (Keith) Davis of Grinnell and Diana Wansley of San Diego, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents and two brothers: Melvin Ladely and Glen Ladely.

Graveside services will be 12 p.m. Saturday, January 21, at the Ames Municipal Cemetery in Ames.

Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
