Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Emma Lucille Olson was born on March 14, 1924 at her farm home in rural Kamrar to George and Tina(Devries) Huisman. Emma grew up in the Kamrar area and attended country school there. On January 22, 1942, she married Clarence William Olson in Princeton, Missouri. They lived in the Ellsworth area, where Emma was a homemaker and also did babysitting. In the 1970’s, she worked for Land O’Lake processing. After Clarence retired, they moved to Jewell. Emma moved to Story City in 2007. Emma attended the Community Church of Kamrar.

Emma passed away December 13, 2016 at Bethany Manor in Story City at the age of 92.

Emma is survived by her daughter, Glenda (Larry) Mathre of Story City; five grandchildren, David (Sue) Romp of Boone, Chad (Lori) Romp of Ames, Lonny (Becky) Witthuhn of Story City, Krista Hood of Phoenix,AZ and Shawna Check of Jewell; 11 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and a sister, Treva Nicks of Centerville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; her daughter, Georgia Romp; her parents; two sisters and four brothers.
