Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Edith L. Fleming was born on July 2, 1927 in Randall, Iowa to Lars and Olena (Charleson) Hanson. Edith graduated from Randall High School in 1944. She married Howard Fleming on April 9, 1948 in Randall. He passed away December 21, 1990. Edith worked at the National Animal Disease Lab in Ames for many years. She was a member of Bergen Lutheran Church in Roland and enjoyed word circle puzzles, watching tv and attending her grandchildrens sporting events. Edith was an excellent baker and cook.

Edith passed away December 12, 2016 at the Zearing Health Care Center in Zearing at the age of 89.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Pisarik of Mt. Vernon; a son, Loren Fleming of Story City; four grandchildren, Christopher (Rachael) Pisarik, Jesse (Ashley) Pisarik, Stephanie (Joseph) Brinkmann and Leah Nicole Peel; 12 great grandchildren, Audrey, Savannah, Lauren Joy, Gabrielle, Rose, Kenzi, Paxten, Evan, Benjamin, Dorothy, James and Stephen and a brother, Irvin E. Hanson for Pennsylvania.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents; husband and three brothers, LeRoy, Orlin and Arnold.
