Mrs. A. T. McCarger
We note in some of the papers a mention of the death of Mrs. A. T. McCarger, who is reported as having died at Seattle on the 18th inst. at the age of 54 years. Mrs. McCarger was Miss Emma Stone of Nevada she was a sister of John T. Stone, who was for thirty years foreman of the Representative office. She was woman of much force and ability and of personal worth and attractiveness. Her husband was engaged in newspaper and similar work in numerous place and generally with considerable success. They have one son Rush, and until the past few years they have all been frequent visitors in Nevada. The Stones came to Nevada shortly after the war, and this was the place to which Mrs. McCarger looked as her old home so long as her mother and brother John were alive. Her death is noted here with much surprise and regret.
