Death of Mrs. Robins
Mrs. Elizabeth Robins died at her home on west main street Tuesday evening after a week's illness. A week ago last Monday while Mrs. Robins was doing some shopping at the Nervig grocery she was taken suddenly ill and had to be carried to her home. It was hemorrhage. She subsequently lay in a semi-conscious condition until finally the little spark of life flickered and Grandma Robins passed to her reward. Deceased was in her seventy-eighth year and was a native of Price Edward Island, but emigrated to the United States in early childhood. Several years ago she moved from Illinois and erected a residence on a lot adjoining the property of her son, W. K. Robins, where she has since resided. Mrs. Robins was a woman of many good qualities and won a large circle of friends, which was limited only as her acquaintanceship was limited. She was loved and highly respected by all who knew her. She was an earnest christian and was an active member of the M. E. church. Funeral services were held at the house Thursday afternoon after which the remains were taken to Plainfield, Illinois were interment will be made. The funeral services here were conducted by Rev. A. L. Golden of Boone.
