Burial of Fred Hagan
Fred Hagan, a railroad man employed by the Iowa Central, died late Thursday night at his home in Minneapolis and was buried in the Catholic cemetery here Monday forenoon. We do not understand that he ever lived in Nevada; but his wife was Mary Doyle, daughter of the late James Doyle; and he was married in Nevada about a dozen years ago. He Hailed from Boone county; but for the past five years they had lived at Minneapolis, his run being from that city to Albert Lea The occasion of his death was typhoid fever, of which he had in the first instance a seemingly light attack, but which in time ran into typhoid pneumonia, with fatal effect. He was manifestly highly esteemed by his fellows upon the road, and a delegation of six conductors and one brakeman, representing the trainmen's organizations, accompanied his body to its last resting place. Mr. Hagan was thirty-nine years of age, and he is survived by his widow and two children, a boy of ten years and a girl of seven. Mrs. Hagan is now here with her mother, Mrs. Doyle, and the Maloneys, but will return to Minneapolis and keep her home there for the present.
