Death of Mrs. Hatteberg

The death of Mrs. Bertha Hatteberg occurred at her home six miles north east of town at an early hour Sunday morning. Mrs. Hatteberg had been in her usual health until about a week before her death when she was overcome with the excessive heat and was taken seriously ill. The best of medical care was given her and for a time she seemed to show considerable improvement and no immediate serious results were anticipated. Her death on Sunday morning was very sudden and was a shock to the family. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Bethany church near Kelley and were in charge of the pastor, Rev. H. J. Holman who spoke words of comfort to the bereaved family. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Hatteberg reached the age of sixty eight years and is survived by three brothers, three sons and two daughters. Her husband died more than twenty years ago while the family resided near Lisbon, Illinois.
