Eleanor "Ole" Jones, 97, of Huxley, passed away November 14, 2016 at the Madrid Home in Madrid, Iowa.

Ole was born November 6, 1919 to Ernest and Ingaborg Olsson in Ames, Iowa. She graduated from Ames High School in 1937 and married Richard Jones on May 6, 1944 in Ames. Ole worked as a mother, bus driver, and as secretary of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Slater for 40 years.

Ole is survived by three sons, Richard Jr. and wife, Dene, of Morristown, Tenn., Doug and wife, Sue, of Huxley, and Ron and wife, Carole, of Naples, Fla.; six grandchildren, Melissa, Kathleen, Philip, Courtney, Jenifer and Kelsey; eight great-grandchildren; and her brother, Ernest Olsson Jr. and wife, Beverly, of Chatfield, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings; her husband, Richard; and her son, Philip.

Inurnment by the family will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Slater.
