Death of Henry Stone

Henry Stone a pioneer member of the Marshall county bar and speaker of the Iowa house of representatives in 1895-96 passed away Saturday at a sanitarium in Chicago where he had been receiving treatment. Mr. Stone is survived by his wife, who was with him at the time of his death. Mr. Stone was a native of Ohio, and was a classmate at Oberlin College of Charles W. Fairbanks, later vice president of the United States. He came to Marshalltown in 1877, engaged in his profession, figured prominently in politics and was ever a public spirited citizen.
