OBITUARY
Death of Grant Arnold.
Grant Arnold, son-in-law of H. C. McIntosh of this city and well known to many friends in Nevada, died last Friday evening in the hospital at Wichita, Kansas, where he had been awaiting the end. He was victim of consumption and he made a long and most courageous fight for his life, warding off the disease when it hardly seemed possible that he could do so. There came a time, however, when his fight was manifestly hopeless, and the news of his death had been anticipated before it came.
Mr. Arnold was about thirty-six years of age, and his acquaintance with Nevada people began about the time of his marriage to Amanda McIntosh seven or eight years ago. Since that time he had been a frequent visitor here, and he always impressed himself most favorably upon those who met him. He had good business capacity, and with reasonably good health his success would necessarily have been greater than it was. His home in late years had been upon a ranche fifty or sixty miles from Wichita belonging to his family. He leaves his widow and two children a boy and a girl and also his mother at Wichita and a married sister near Chicago. He was to be buried at Wichita.
