Lauren L. Fincham

After an illness of but ten days duration, Lauren Leland Fincham passed away at his home July 15, 1909, at the age of 16 years, 10 months. He was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Fincham, and was born near Colo, Iowa, where he has since resided all his life. The funeral services were held at the Methodist church Saturday p. m. at two o'clock, being conducted by his pastor Rev. Elliot of Ames. The burial took place in Oak Hill cemetery.

Lauren was a young man of excellent character and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his early departure a mother, three sisters, Lottie, Mary and Leona, four brothers, Stanley, Lester, Clarence and Lloyd. His father preceded him to the better world less than a year ago. Besides other relatives he leaves a host of friends. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community.
