FLORENCE KRUGLER SUICIDED
Girl Shoots Herself at Ames
Florence Krugler, formerly a resident of Nevada at different times a member of the Nevada Des Moines high schools, committed suicide Thursday noon by shooting herself near the heart at the home in Ames of Mrs. Cliff Semmons, formerly Miss Alta Moore of this city, where she had bee staying. Her body was brought over to Nevada this afternoon, and her funeral will be conducted from the Methodist church at two o'clock Saturday, the interment being in the Nevada cemetery. The act of suicide was without any adequate occasion so far as is understood. The girl was just turning twenty-one and was held in esteem by numerous friends. Evidently, however, she gave way to some sentiment of despondency. She was alone in the Semmon house when she shot herself with a revolver; but she ran out onto the sidewalk, where she fell and was picked up by a passer by. She was fatally wounded and she died before the arrival of a physician. Mrs. Krugler and children formerly lived on Oak street in this city in the house south of the Wells Allen home, at which time Miss Florence formed a favorable acquaintance with many Nevada young people. Later the mother removed to Des Moines but some of the family remained around here, and the fact that the body is brought here for burial indicates that this is still regarded as the family home.
