Ylene Ann Longwell (Biede), 71, of Minburn and Ames, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, in Covington, Louisiana.
Ylene was born on March 2, 1945, in Emerson, Nebraska, the daughter of Henry and Gertrude Biede. Growing up, Ylene graduated from Homer High, Nebraska, in 1963. She later became a licensed practical nurse working and caring for the elderly.
Those left to cherish her are her daughter Jodi (Greg) Tolliver and granddaughter Emma of Louisiana, son John Longwell (Cynthia and granddaughter Audryna) and grandchildren Jasmyne (Maximo) Canche of New Mexico, and grandson Ashton Longwell of Colorado; brothers Duane (Ardyse) Biede of Nebraska, Stan (Sharyn) Biede of Kansas, Hank (Terri) Biede of Florida; sister Betty (Jeff) Homan of California; and companion Merrill Williams of Iowa; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Ylene is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Getrude; brother Walter; and former husband John Longwell.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, at the Rowley Masonic Chapel in Perry, at 1 p.m. Her ashes will be interred Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, at Omaha Valley Cemetery, Homer, Nebraska at 1 p.m.
