HANSEL ANDREW LOWE

Hansel Andrew Lowe, 70, of Maxwell, died Monday, April 5, at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames.

He was born on Feb. 17, 1912, in Lexington, Mo., to parents Louretta and Millard Lowe. He married Marilyn Lyon in Nashua on Aug. 17, 1947.

He served in the armed forces; was an alder and Sunday School teacher at Maxwell Christian Church; and was retired from his job as assistant cashier at the Maxwell State Bank.

His survivors include his wife, Marilyn; two daughters, Kathy Wankum of Marcus, Iowa, and Barbara Tentinger of Omaha, Neb.; his mother, Louretta Reagan of Nevada; one sister, Eva Milligan of Maxwell; one brother Dillard Lowe of Nevada; and one granddaughter.

Services will be held at the Maxwell Christian Church on Thursday, April 8, at 1:30 p.m., with Reverend Joseph Howe officiating. Burial will be in the Maxwell Cemetery. Visitation at the Cooper Funeral Home will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
